• Born in East Germany
• Classical music student from the age of five until ten years old. (Violin & Piano)
• First introduction & experiments with a guitar at the age of eighteen.
• First solo appearence in a University club as a songwriter in 1983
• From 1983 onwards, freelancing as a songwriter & folk musician gigging around
• various University clubs, music festivals and discotheques.
• 1985- Winner of the Songwriter contest in Dresden
• 1985- Arts Award in Meissen
• 1986- First television appearence on the TV Talentshow "Mobil"
• 1986- Appearence at the International Folk & Song Festival in Bulgaria alongside
• Harvey Andrews, Erika Pluhar...
• Third place in the East German Song Contest for newcomers.
• Release of "Lieder Pur"und "Graue Weißheiten" on Music Tape
• 1986/87- Chris is banned from playing several gigs due to the politcal statements in his songs
• 1987- Turns professional by joining the Dresden Country Band Simple Song as singer and acoustic guitarist. (1987-1992)
• 1988- Release of record "Country tut gut"( Amiga )
• Vocal training and Guitar lessons at the Dresden Highschool of Music
• 1993- Founding member of the Country Music Band Wild Eagle
• 1994-95- Collaboration with the English folk musician Tom Pritty playing mandolin, guitar and
• vocals in the folk Band Heartland (contemporary folk)
• Tom Pritty returns to England. Heartland continues as a trio/duo up to 2000
• 1998- starting solo activities under the pseudonym Mr. Radio playing coversongs unplugged
• 1998- member of the acoustic band Stringwood (Jena) until 2003.
• 1999- First instrumental CD "Cat in the House" followed by "Indian Summer"(2000) and
• "open your mind"(2001) all on his own label
• From 2002 onwards collaboration with the producer / songwriter and guitarist Norbert Lange
• 2003 -2004 work with musicians from Belgium, Scotland and Marocco in the multi-cultural/national Band Celtic Colours
• (irish music and african beat)
• 2005- Release of the Solo CD “Painted Moments" feat. Mario Meinel (Germany),
• Norbert Lange (Germany), Axel Weckschmied (Germany)
• Composing and producing - soundtracks / jingles for film, radio stations, theater
• 2006/7/8 - release of new CD’s "Countdown"”, "Nomad Land", "Secrets", "Acoustic Experience"
• Composing and producing becomes a more important role among all other musical activities
• 2007/2008 Chris is also on tour with the Country Band Rubber Duck
• 2008 Award for the "Best international Country group"
• 2013 - 30 years on stage
• Through the years - concerts & gigs in over 15 countries
• 2019 - Landslide Band - folk. country. soul - permanent on tour
